A short synopsis by ChazP:
Everyday I get up and eat some breakfast, then Tonya heads to class and I head to the office.....which for right now is the coffeeshop/deli down the street. The internet connection in our condo isn't great, and I can't stay connected to my company's intranet, so for now I'm working in Panera Bread. But that's the boring part.
Yesterday morning, as I was hunting for software sales, a guy probably around the age of 30 walked in wearing a hat and sunglasses. He ordered some coffee, and came and sat right across from me in the living-room-type setting most coffee-shops have. I said "Hello," and introduced myself--he did the same. I felt like I recognized him from somewhere, but I couldn't place him. I get this feeling a lot in East Texas, because I seem to be just barely involved in a lot of different circles and don't really know a lot of people, but recognize everybody. Oh well. I knew that I didn't know anyone in Denver, and I don't know why this guy looks so familiar. We had a brief conversation about how it is really annoying when people wear those Bluetooth headsets in public....you can never tell if they are talking to you or the person on the phone. Anyhow, about 20 minutes go by and he leaves. By the time he left the shop, I notice a table near me pointing at him outside and I can only gather one word from what they were saying...."Jackass."
That's right. Jackass. The man I had been talking to is one of the stars of the show Jackass. His name is Chris Pontius.
What a weird morning.
