On our way to Kansas City from St. Louis, we stopped in a town called Independence. Why? Because Charlie found Fazoli's. A very important place in his heart. Once filled with delicious pasta and breadsticks, we noticed a showing of the new Harry Potter- couldn't pass that up... yet somewhat disappointing. Another story all together.
So then we proceeded in downtown KC. Charlie and I stayed at this very posh Holiday Inn called the Aladdin. Very nice and right down the street from the famous Power and Light District in Kansas City. We had an incredible time at a great brewery restaurant (Gordon Biersch) hanging out with our strange and seemlingly slightly gay waitor. They served a sampler of different beers that they brew in house- 6 little 4oz glasses. Very Cute. Our waitor (never caught his name) told us about the great posh bowling alley that had couches to sit on while bowling and chandeliers and told us about the new amc theatre that has surround sound in the seats. Interesting.
