Must be hard being the King...
We packed in the morning with a couple of donuts, a starbucks, a stroll down the Riverside park, a walk through the Elvis and BB King welcome center, all leading up to the main event at the World Famous Peabody Hotel.
What's so great about the Peabody? Well, let's just say-- its not only walking into a grand hotel that was buildt in the 20's that still has its flare... it also contains ducks. Yes, ducks. The famous peabody ducks made their debut down the elevator from their penthouse suit, down the red carpet, and into the hotel lobby fountain (which they do every day at 11:00 and return at 5:00). Tough life for a duck to swim around in a hotel fountain all day. They get paid well...pretty sure.

What I truly fell in love with was the roof of this historic building as well as the sky way. It felt like walking into a Fred Astaire Movie. Absolutely stunning. It had a fabulous round dance floor with tables set above it with an ourdoor patio that would make the party in the old movie "Sabrina" look shabby. My new dream: go to ball their one day:).
Memphis is awesome! We stayed right downtown at the King's Court Motel much like a La Quinta. Well, maybe that wasn't the part that was awesome... Beale Street on the other hand was hopping! We strolled across the Mississippi River around 7pm after driving for what seemed like days, and we wanted 3 things-- Blues, Barbeque, and BB King. And we got all three B's on Beale Street. Listening to some fantastic Rythm and Blues at BB King's restaurant, we enjoyed a full slab of the best pork ribs we have ever eaten. Happy to call it a night.
