Boston in the Fog!

Last minute, Charlie needed to head to Boston on business. Well, turns out, everything was booked solid and he couldn't find a room anywhere close to where he needed to be in Boston. So, my dear husband got creative and unlike his Co-worker's $300 a night Comfort Inn hotel room, Charlie stayed in this lovely $175 B&B house boat on the Boston Harbor complete with breakfast at the local coffee shoppe. 

I love you so much right now for this, darling.

Franklin Rodeo!

Last night, Charlie and I went to the annual Franklin Rodeo and had an absolute blast! We saw mutton bustin', bare back riding, barrel racing, and, of course, bull-riding! Whoo hoo!

I SO need a cowboy hat and boots.

Enclosed arena. Nice.

Steeplechase!

Nashville's version of the Kentucky Derby. It was a blast. Our first horse race ever! The weather was a bit wishy washy but all in all held off pretty well. Charlie and I just hit up the general admission area and had a blast watching the races. They really are so exciting! I was good at picking last place horses and Charlie was good at picking the 2nd place ones. Oh well. 

We didn't stay til the end but, apparently, the grand prize horse died just after he crossed the finish line. So sad. But we didn't know so it didn't dampen our mood! 

Hats are so fun.

In a squeaky voice, "Can I have a hot dog?"

Franklin Theatre

Charlie got a free movie ticket to the Franklin Theatre from our visit to the Main Street Festival Downtown. So, of course, we had to go! We have been wanting to go see the theatre since its re-opening last year. It was truly a fabulous experience! Service was impeccable and the theatre is exquisite. We went and saw The Artist... again. It was even better the second time!
