Charlie and I drove up to meet the family I'm interviewing with on Friday morning. We arrived at the hotel, checked in, unloaded our bags, and met them down in the lobby. It was a beautiful day. I was a bit nervous but felt comfortable with Charlie there. We found them with no problem and instantly had good conversation. They are talkers, so there was never a dull moment. We met two of their children that still live at home and they were wonderful. Their oldest was running a track meet for the University of Miami.
They took us out to lunch at a cute place in downtown Franklin. That area is really cute and historic. I loved it a lot. We just talked about everything, mostly personal. Then they took us to see the house that they have put an offer on and still negotiating on. We had a blast talking about furniture and where everything goes because it is a brand new house, not even completely finished yet. It's located in Franklin down the street from Lee Ann Rimes and Dave Ramsey.
This would be our wing up stairs. Above the Garage. We headed back to the hotel and we sat with the husband for a while and talked more specifically about things and then were left to enjoy the evening by ourselves. We went our to an early steak dinner and just drove around to see the area. It's really nice. We even found Dave Ramsey's office and took pictures on our phone for my parents.

We didn't sleep well that night due to the processing of the days events, so we got up tired but went and got breakfast which made us feel better. Then we drove into Nashville to see Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We saw Vanderbilt University, Belmont (which is gorgeous), and drove down Downtown to see the capital and all the musical hot spots. Really we just took in the feel of the place. We even went to see where Ben and Shalene Ermis teach Ballroom Dancing in the city. We're cool like that.:)
The Parthenon. We were done sight seeing around noon and decided, "hey, let's go to Huntsville on the way home to see the NASA center and grab some lunch." We saw the Rocket City and had lunch at McAlister's. Then drove home to make sure Ella hadn't eaten Noah, our fish.

We both felt like it went really well and we had a good time meeting them. The next steps at this point is to see if everything goes through with their house and get back to us. So... to be continued.
