Alabama Adventures

Charlie had a busy week at work and I was counting down the hours til he was off so we could enjoy a "work free" weekend. Well, that didn't happen but we've had some fun anyway.

Friday night, we took a long walk around Deibert Park (a good 3 1/2 miles we did total), then went home and made Blackened salmon Italian salad, changed clothes, and walked over to the "happenin'" mall across the street. Let me tell you about the Florence Mall. In all the cities Charlie and I have lived, malls are generally very busy on Friday nights. People everywhere. Well, not in Florence, AL. You could have heard a pin drop. Our goal in going to the mall was the long awaited "Glow in the Dark" Mini golf course in one of the stores. Much to our surprise and utter disappointment we saw this...
No Glow in the Dark Mini Golf:(. We settled for trying a cute coffee shop called Le Beau's Coffee and Cream and then walked back and watched an old movie.
Today, our adventures took us out to Jack-O-Lantern Farms (Quality Hydroponic Vegetables). They grow vegetables naturally in water. So we bought a few tomatoes and squash for dinner tonight. Then we headed to downtown Florence and explored the shops and seeing some restaurants we decided we needed to try. We decided we would go ahead and try Rosie's Cantina for lunch. It was delish! Felt like home.
After that, we drove over to see Alabama's Music Hall of Fame. Yes, we paid 16 dollars to go inside the music hall of fame. It was quite humorous. Here are some pics:
