Sleepover!

Friday night Charlie and I had our first sleepover probably since college that didn't include family which to me is hilarious! Krista and Eli Horn from our small group came over Friday night and stayed on our incredible, magnificent, pillow-top air matress (I bought it so I love to gloat). We had dinner that included: bruschetta for appetiser, chicken parmigiana with asparagus for main course, and they brought apple pie with ice cream for dessert.
We had a blast! Charlie had the fire going all night and we laughed and talked til like 10, played some piano, then listened to some Brian Regan, and then the boys insisted that we watch "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" which turns quite comical so late in the evening. We were up til 1:30 which I haven't seen in forever due to all my working out- I go to bed so early from exhaustion.
This morning, Charlie made the fire again and I made eggs, toast, and jelly for breakfast. We hated to see them go. It felt like middle school all over again when you had a friend come over and their parents come to pick them up at 10am and you wished they could stay another day. Friendship is so important even when you're married. I think singles sometimes write us marrieds off as people who already have a friend, but ladies-- we need each other. I miss so many of my friends and am so ready to see them in March.
