Tyler Texas Time

The Last 10 days have been spent in T-Town seeing family. It was really great to see both our parents and be able to have some good Mexican food!
A few highlights include:
· I had a phone interview with a possible job in Nashville that went really well! I have an in person interview on Friday, 1st, in Nashville. Charlie and I will go up there together and stay at the Marriott Cool Springs and have lunch with the couple and their family and then go see their house that afternoon. They are moving from Memphis and are closing on the house on Monday. So exciting! Prayers appreciated.
· Phillip and Rachel Terrell’s wedding- Charlie was the best man. It kept him so busy. However, there is Funny yet tragic Occurance: so it rained on the wedding day (Saturday) and the reception was held at a hotel. When we arrived at the reception, there was this massive tour bus filled with elderly people filing out and into the hotel. It turns out that they were there to see the Azalea Trail. Which with all the freezes, there were no azaleas blooming yet. Such a travesty. Never go the first weekend.
· The next day- it snowed… all day. In March. In Tyler. It snowed. We just couldn’t get away from it.
· We took our bikes thinking we would have some nice weather to ride. Number of times ridden: 0. There was a lot of rain and snow and cold wind. Oh well.
· We took a trip to Dallas for a couple days. Charlie had a meeting with Dr. Pepper. While he was drinking all the Dr. Pepper he could stand, I went to visit ex-coworkers at Liberty Institute. It was a blast seeing their new offices and seeing everybody in their new luxury. I got to have lunch with Joan and Jennifer at Urban Taco which was absolutely delicious.
· We also got to see Scott and Blake Clifton. Charlie went and played a few holes of disc golf after work with Blake while I dined with Erin at Pei Wei. It was so great to see all of them.
· The next day, we went to Ryan’s and again, while they worked, I had a lazy day reading Sherlock Holmes. There is nothing like a good murder mystery to keep you inside while the wind is blowing crazily. We made dinner and Ryan’s girlfriend, Cindy, joined us for stuffed pork chops, green beans, and couscous. Cindy brought Chocolate Kahlua Crème Brule for dessert. The whole thing… amazing.
· I loved spending time with my mom. We ran errands and did laundry together. That may not sound fun to you, but it was so great to have someone tackle those things with you. We had some really good family dinners too. I got to see Dad and Traci and that was wonderful. That hasn’t happened in a really long time. We also got to hang with Charlie's Family and see the new "Mancave" and new Mercedes. Very nice. We had early Easter lunch with the whole fam and got to meet Chelsea's boyfriend, Scott. It was a blast.
· My parents absolutely loved having Ella. Course, I think Ella had a much better time harassing anyone in the house. She explored every nook and cranny. She did really well on the drive both ways though. We were so proud of her!
· Ten hours there, ten hours back. It is good to be home.
