4th Anniversary Celebration!

So, we usually like to do some kind of road trip for our anniversary. Last year, we went to Cali in May and was able to do anything in July but this year we wanted to do something special. Charlie set the bar high when he woke me up on our anniversary with roses, chickfila breakfast, and a Tiffany's box. He has definitely learned how to go straight for my heart:).
July 12, 2012- 4 years, 4 red roses

Charlie took off on Friday to take me on a long weekend down in Chattanooga. We found this great B&B in the arts district and instantly fell in love. Apparently, the Bluff View Inn owns this whole area including 2 restaurants, bread and pastry bakery, a museum, a chocolate factory, and my favorite: Rembrandt's coffee shoppe. It was so fun just walking around, taking in the sights, and eating. Which is exactly what we did. Walk and eat. Then eat. Then eat some more. The weather was a bit unpredictable with some rain and thunderstorms, so we didn't get any hiking in.

We stayed at the Thompson House. Friday night, we got a surprisingly great view of the Fireworks downtown.

There is whole garlic cloves in their homemade bread.
We ate at Tony's Friday night. Since we were B&B guests, we got to bypass the wait. The food was amazing!

Walking by the river.

Art museum in the background. We just passed over a really neat walking bridge.

Did I mention that we ate? A lot. Fabulous breakfast buffet.

Chattanooga Choo Choo:)
We trekked downtown Chattanooga a couple miles. We toured the Choo Choo gift shops and saw the inside of the hotel. When we started heading back, it started pouring:(. Still fun though.

I don't think he understands how to properly drive that thing.

Oh right, eating again! We had lunch at Sticky Fingers. Great ribs and burgers.

Of course, across the street from Sticky Fingers was the Moon Pie store and we had to drop in and play around.

PIE! Genius! We need this kind of place in Nashville. It was fantastic. We stopped in for dessert after a fancy dinner at Alleia.

On our way out, the sun came out and we drove up to the top of Lookout Mountain and went to Point Park. The views were beautiful.

Watch out Chattanooga! She's a wild one!
